To celebrate the 15th anniversary of its opening, the Bijutsukan EKI will be hosting an exhibit highlighting the 175th birth of Empress Elizabeth (24 December 1837 – 10 September 1898).

In memory of the 175th anniversary of the birth of Empress Elizabeth of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, Museum EKI Kyoto will host an exhibit related to her and items from her life.

The exhibit will feature paintings, personal ornaments, and approximately 120 articles including industrial art objects.

The Empress was considered a non-conformist who detested court protocol.
