民家の郵便入り口While riding between Nijo Castle and Sanjokai the other day, we came across this mail slot on the wall that surrounded a large and gracious older home.
From right to left it reads:
郵便新聞差入り口
Slot for mail and newspapers
We were nearly tempted to give it a try, if only to hear the clank of the solid metal banging back down.
