Kyoto News Hagi Festival Nashinoki Shrine

On September 17, 22, 23 the Hagi (Bush Clover) Festival will be held at Nashinoki Shrine on Teramachi Dori east of Kyoto Gyoen.

During the festival, visitors write poems on small pieces of paper and then tie them to the branches of the shrine's many bush clover bushes.

Moreover, in the shrine hall, kyogen, dance, and koto (a Japanese harp) will be performed.

Access: Kyoto City Bus #4, 17, 205, get off at Furitsu Idai Byoin-mae, five-minute walk.
Cyclists: The shrine is on the east side of the Imperial Palace on Teramachi.
Fee: 800 yen or 1,500 yen (with a ceramic plate)
